Commendations & Complaints

The Moncks Corner Police Department is committed to providing the quality law enforcement performance and effective community relations based upon trust. We encourage complaints and/or questions about the Police Department’s performance or the actions of its personnel. All complaints shall be promptly and thoroughly investigated. When a complaint is logged, it will be reviewed and assigned to the appropriate authority for investigation and/or follow-up.

If you wish to file a complaint on an officer or an employee, or if you feel that an officer or an employee has acted improperly, you may register your complaint in the following ways:

1. At any time, during regular business hours, you may come to the Moncks Corner Police Department located at 118 Carolina Avenue, Moncks Corner, SC and request to speak with an on duty supervisor or department staff when practical. Staff will assist in supplying the Form MCPD-123 to file your complaint.
2. If you cannot come to the Police Department you can call the Moncks Corner Police Department during regular business hours at (843) 719-7930 and you will be assisted.
3. You may fax Form MCPD-123 to (843) 719-7936 or you may mail your complaint in writing to:

For your convenience. you may print out the complaint form prior to visiting Town Hall, or return it by mail. The complainant shall be notified and advised of the outcome of all reports filed. The Moncks Corner Police Department has policy and procedures in place to address complaints.
