Biography

Latorie was raised in Moncks Corner, just as her parents we’re born and raised here. After living further upstate, she returned to the lowcountry in 2017 with her family.

Latorie’s passion for teaching began over 25 years ago when she developed a love to care for and educate children in her community. Today, along with being a Moncks Corner Councilwoman, she currently owns three preschool academies in the Columbia, SC area and is expanding into Moncks Corner and Berkeley County. She extends her passion for helping families in the Lowcountry communities as a Realtor®.

She is also the author of Aspire in Your Pursuit and the co-author of The A2Z of Early Childhood Management.

Latorie earned her Master of Arts Degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University; a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Strayer University, and an Associate of Arts Degree in Public Service with a concentration in Early Care and Education from Trident Technical College, plus a Child Care Management Certification, and a real estate license.

Latorie has served as an Adjunct Professor at Trident Technical College.

Latorie has also served as a Notary Public for South Carolina for over 15 years.
