Jay was first elected to the Moncks Corner City Council in 2016. His current term runs through December 2023.
By profession he has been a realtor of residential, commercial and land sales for more than 20 years. During his career, Jay has managed teams of hundreds of agents for global and local brands and was an instructor for the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS. Jay is also a past member of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors Board of Directors, CodeRed, and the Legislative Committees. Jay has been honored with multiple awards and honors during his career in the real-estate business. Jay and his wife Mandy were married at the Summerall Chapel in 2006 and they have 2 children, a daughter, Addison, and a son Drayton. They attend The First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner. Jay received his Master of Business Administration Degree in 2010 and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina Columbia in 1998.
Jay and Mandy enjoy staycations exploring the low country. They both grew up in and boating on the scenic rivers and lakes of the area. He is the son of James N. Law and Helene L. Mungo.
